Happy Fiesta!

But I don't really know what a fiesta is all about. I've been here three years and I still don't know anything about it except that it's to honor a saint or something. My family doesn't celebrate it you see and I didn't grow up here in the Philippines. Anyway, what is the true meaning of a fiesta? Naks! lol.. I'm just a little curious I guess. haha..

well, fiesta is basically celebrating for the saint.. I don't know, but I have this feeling that this fiesta is a conspiracy made by the Spaniards as what Jose Rizal wrote in Noli or El Fili... But as what I have remembered in that novels. Filipinos are forced to put on beautiful stuffs outside their houses and make food for everyone when a General or what-so-ever King of Spain that will be coming too visit the country... It is because as what I have remembered in the discussion from my high school, To Cover Up the anomalies and corruption made by the priest and other military Spaniards here.. mga yawa na sila.. hahaha And Filipinos back then was "uto-uto"... can you see the images in the church?? all or most of them are images and dresses of Spaniard kings and queens... I thing some of the things were altered during that time.... I hate Spaniards...
